Scanning the Internet for solar companies can be a bit like searching the desert for sand. So how do we manage to stand out? Well, we’re MCS Certified, Regulated by the RECC and the NIC, we use DAWWI for our deposit protection scheme, But we’re quite sure its our 100% 5* star google rating that does it.
Billy Sweeney founded the company in June 2021, after having worked in the industry for many years. Acquiring invaluable experience along the way, as well as completing his electrical qualifications and courses specialising in solar. He thought that the industry lacked honest, credible installers, taking pride in their work, while offering the very best product and aftercare for customers looking to save money on their energy bills. For the last few years Billy and his team have been subcontracting for some of the biggest companies in the UK.
Making the transition from sub contracting to dealing direct with the consumer has been a long process, for more than one reason. One of the most important things for us here at Southern Solar and Electricals is good workmanship and customer experience.
We didn't want to run before we could walk and we didn't want to put ourselves in a position where we'd let the customer down.
Fortunately this has given us the strongest foundations, and today were proud to say that we only take our own work and we rely solely on referrals and word off mouth for the majority of our installations.
Southern Solar and Electricals have three main ambitions for the next few years.

We don't use Napit, We're NIC MCS approved, 18th edition electricians fully qualified in installing solar. Also regulated by the RECC and were trading standards approved.
